Random Cute Picture

My daughter who blogs a LOT more than her mother, "tagged" me today!

I love it as I've never been "tagged" by a computer before! She is teaching me many new things and is very patient, well most of the time..he he or LOL.

So after an hour playing in the N'oreaster outside our house on a no school day, she is ready to see her mother's creation...

...Kenz, I hope you like my

DADDY'S SLED

The week before Christmas, Daddy announced to me he wanted to get the kids a huge sled which the whole family can ride on together! We went from store to store to store to store and NOTHING was "just what he was looking for".

I explained how easy it was to shop online.

...The search began

...The sled arrived two days AFTER Christmas. As the photos show:

THE NORDIC EXPRESS IS A HUGE HIT!

Holiday Review 2008

Our Christmas was spectacular!
The kids are at the perfect ages to dream, discover and explore as we venture through the holiday season. From deciding on that special gift, to learning to keep a surprise present a secret they are the best.
This year, however the ultimate gift of love was presented to my husband an I on the morning of Christmas 2008.
Their faces were all smiles as they passed us the small box which they had wrapped themselves about three days before Christmas. (They had disappeared up to Kenz's room with their supplies and worked for over an hour together with the door closed to create our gift.)
Here is a picture...

Each "bandaid" is cut from colored construction paper.
Each "bandaid" has a famous quote from a famous person.
They went to a website called the quotations page and picked the quotes they liked and wrote them on the colored bandaids!
We keep our BANDAIDS FOR THE SOUL on the mantelpiece ready for anyone who needs a little inspiration in their day.
Thank you to our little Christmas Angels for giving mom and dad such a thoughtful gift.

Group Doctor Trip

Like many moms, besides groceries, cleaning, cooking, laundry and errands there are the much needed APPOINTMENTS!

Orthodontist Appointments...
Dentist Appointments...
Teacher Conference Appointments...
Doctor Checkup Appointments...
Haircut Appointments...
Oil Change Appointments...
Endless Appointments...

Today capped all Appointments forever! I have been playing phone tag with the Dr.'s office to get our flu shots for weeks. Today, the nurse called and said she could.........................
FIT US ALL IN AT THE SAME TIME.

I was so excited!
One Appointment for 4 people!
No way.

So we went, all 4 of us at the same time and got our flu shots.
Mom, Keen, Dad, Kenz. (plus Humble and Trixie for support)
Only one cried, can you guess who?

Christmas shopping and station shopping

Well, I started today!
Yes, it is official. I purchased some Christmas presents BEFORE Thanksgiving! Not only that, but I planned to go Christmas shopping today while the kids were in school. Since Halloween snuck up on us and Thanksgiving is in 3 days, I just knew I had to start before someone told me Christmas was the following week.
So, I am in the car with my list, going to the stores that have the lowest prices and I'm listening to the local noon time news on the radio. It ended.
I needed some music.
I needed some Christmas music.
I began to hit the pre-programmed buttons on my car radio. Seems the stations switch so much I have no idea which station is which so I just keep hitting buttons until I find a song I like.
Then I heard it.
The Little Drummer Boy!
I have no idea which station, but they played holiday music for me on my way to the stores and on my way home.
Now it's time to hide some presents and hope I don't forget where I put them!

THE SUPPORTERS

Here we sit.
Mom & 2 kids.
In our warm, dry, comfy living room on a dreary Saturday morning.
Where is dad?
In a warm, dry, loud, bouncy, yellow school bus.
Where is he going?
On a 2 hour journey to the Western Maine Football finals!
See, Dad is a football coach.
We are his supporters.
Tough decision not to follow after him. . .
But. . .
Weather calls for heavy rain and though it was a tough,
tough, tough decision, we voted to stay home.
We miss dad, but we know he is happy.
Happy, focused, excited, focused, soon to be soaked, focused.
We wait for updates.
We wait for news of the win.
Next week we play for the gold ball!
